WE ARE SO PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE LIBERTY WIND ENSEMBLE HAS BEEN NAMED A NATIONAL WINNER OF THE MARK OF EXCELLENCE!
This is an incredible national recognition, and we could not be prouder of our students! Out of outstanding ensembles from across the country, only 9 groups in the 5A division were selected as National Winners.
We are especially honored to share this recognition with Lone Star High School and Wakeland High School, who were also named National Winners. What an incredible accomplishment for our FISD music programs!
So, how does this work?
The Mark of Excellence project recognizes outstanding achievement in performance by high school and middle school bands, choirs, and orchestras across the United States. Ensembles submit recordings of their concert performances, which then go through a rigorous adjudication process by professional music educators and conductors.
The project provides valuable feedback to participating ensembles while creating a unique opportunity for students to compare their performance quality with outstanding programs from across the country. National winners are recognized in regional and national publications and at music conventions.
To our Liberty Wind Ensemble students: this recognition belongs to YOU! Your dedication, hard work, musicianship, and commitment to excellence have earned you a place among some of the finest high school ensembles in the nation.
